Influence of Age on CD4 T Memory Cells
Description: PROJECT NARRATIVE The ability of the immune system to develop immunological memory is the basis for immune protection after infection or vaccination. Durability of memory varies for different vaccines or infections, in particular with increasing age. The current proposal aims at identifying the gene-regulatory networks that account for differences in the generation and longevity of memory T cells, with the ultimate goal to improve immune memory in older adults.
