Clinical Neuroscience Research Training Program in Psychiatry
Description: NARRATIVE Mental illness affects approximately 15% of the population, creates enormous disability and cost, and has been stubbornly persistent over the decades. To fundamentally alter this trajectory we must recruit and train the next generation of physician-scientist researchers who will generate the advances in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and cure that we need to alleviate this burden. Yale’s T32-funded Clinical Neuroscience Research Training Program, of which this is a renewal application, has an exceptional track record of training psychiatric physician-scientists, which we here aim to continue and enhance.
