Coding and Noncoding RNA Contributions to 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome
Description: Project Narrative 22q11.2 deletion syndrome is the most common chromosomal deletion problem reported in humans, leading to multiple clinical problems that affect the immune, heart, and nervous systems. Our recent work is revealing important roles for coding and noncoding RNAs in affecting the severity of the disease. We will use patient studies and mouse models of 22q11.2 deletion syndrome to determine the impact of these RNA species in the formation and function of the thymus.
