Novel pathways that regulate DNA double-strand break repair events in mammalian cells

Description: NARRATIVE The maintenance of genomic integrity is critical to limit human genetic disease. However key aspects of genome maintenance are poorly understood. The proposed research will reveal novel mechanisms that prevent homologous recombination occurring in G1 phase cells and the mechanisms that prevent ongoing transcription interfering with DNA repair.
