Decoding epigenetic scars of smoldering neuroinflammation and CNS complications in people with HIV
Description: PROJECT NARRATIVE Some people living with HIV on effective antiretroviral therapy show signs of inflammation in their brain and continue to experience cognitive impairment. This study will examine whether HIV leaves molecular “scars” changing gene activity in specific types of immune cells that produce inflammation in people’s brains.
