Biobehavioral Influences on Cancer: Perspectives from Psychoneuroimmunology
Description: PUBLIC HEALTH RELEVANCE: The cancer survivorship field would clearly benefit from additional investigators with broad biobehavioral training. The growing emphasis on the identification of biomarkers and clinical/screening studies of their utility as predictors of cancer risk and outcome requires notable cross- disciplinary training and expertise. The proposed research and training will advance public health by addressing nutritional influences on behavioral, endocrine, and immune system interactions that affect cancer risk and clinical outcomes.
