Choosing to Practise Obstetrics: What factors influence family practice residents?
Year: 1991
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: To document their plans for practising obstetrics and factors influencing these decisions, a questionnaire was sent to all 79 residents graduating from the University of Toronto's Department of Family and Community Medicine. Fifty-one percent of the 53 residents who responded (67%) planned to practise obstetrics on graduation; 21% planned antenatal care only; 11% planned no obstetrics; and 17% were undecided. The family practice program appeared to influence the residents positively.
