Centre or Periphery?: The Architecture of the Travelling Street Fair

Abstract: This essay introduces the annual November Street Fair in Loughborough, and discusses the challenges that are encountered when trying to discuss experience at the fair or in the town during this event.It is argued that the terminology of ÔcentreÕ and ÔperipheryÕ fails to account for this hybrid situation.
