Abstract: This project aimed to summarise literature that compares conventional, IPM, and organic cotton production systems in terms of environmental impact; to select indicators which can be used to compare the environmental impact of conventional, IPM, and organic cotton production systems and to start a discussion on the social aspects relevant for trade in sustainable cotton.
