Abstract: Few people question the importance of leadership in organizational effectiveness, even though there is little agreement about how to develop leaders. Nevertheless, nearly every college and university has established some sort of leadership education program for students (Hirschorn, 1988), demonstrating a belief that leadership can be learned and enhanced through an educational process.
