Adrenocorticotropin acutely increases adrenal polyphosphoinositides.
Year: 1979
Type: article
Abstract: After adrenocorticotropin (ACTH) treatment for 15 min, adrenal levels of diphosphoinositide and triphosphoinositide appear to increase severalfold. Several other adrenal phospholipids are not appreciably affected by such treatment. Rapid changes in polyphosphoinositides may play a role in hormonal modulation of membrane-associated metabolic events.
