Postmodern (narrative) career counselling and education
Year: 2005
Type: article
Abstract: One of the challenges clearly arising for career educators and career counsellors at the beginning of the 21st century centres on what our theory base should be (Watson & Stead, 2002, 29). Career practice is culturally and historically located, and to date the tenets of modernism prevail as the dominant story in the field. Influenced by postmodern thought, stories of possibility about career practice in the 21st century are being constructed.
