Abstract: Dentatorubral-pallidoluysian atrophy (DRPLA) is an autosomal dominant neurodegenerative disorder which became the seventh human genetic disorder shown to be caused by an expansion of a trinucleotide repeat. We have analyzed the distribution of CAG repeats at the DRPLA locus in 10 geographically and ethnically diverse populations. 18 refs., 1 fig., 1 tab.
