Abstract: Where are we with politics? How do we live out our part in a community where we expect a lot (even if we are not always aware of it), and a lot is expected of us in return, in terms of “citizenly” behavior? In this country, we are a people of striking sadness. We act as if we are in vague mourning for something that has disappeared.
