Abstract: Through several surveys, we find that union training and education is important to boost delegates' confidence and activism. Quality, breadth and coverage all matter. Union training should be conceptualised broadly and include what happens outside and after the classroom, both formally and informally. The results raise important practical challenges including structural questions for unions.
