Abstract: The new city model, postmodern city, is characterized by social, economic, technological and spatial changes.The article identifies these characteristics and defines to what extent the symptoms of global processes associated with the formation of postmodern city and characteristic change from the socialist to post-socialist city are visible in the social, spatial and economic structure of Warsaw.
