Abstract: In today’s knowledge society, to have information is a necessary condition albeit, it is not enough to feed the competitive performance of organizations. Increasingly, knowledge has become the production factor by excellence, and is commanding the behaviour of the economic agents. However, within that factor of production, the market is imperfect. Companies must therefore, of necessity, be aware of this fact, and must therefore place emphasis and assume responsibility for the production of their own knowledge. In order for this to occur active labour market policies, linked to strategic management policies should lead human resources to constant training, given that this is a control variable in the usage, diffusion and knowledge production, which protects and sustains companies’ longevity.
