Abstract: Globalization directly influences the traditionally used commercial ways and practices, \nblurring borders and giving two paths to the inhabitants of a territory: They can \nadaptat themselves and look for better ways to compete, which requires preparation, \nor simply step aside and remember old good times. \nFree trade agreements (FTA) aim to reduce or finish tax barriers, allowing a free trade \nflow. Nevertheless, it is necessary to bring a balance to them, which can be applied \nonly in the case that the parties involved have the resources and the preparation to \ntake the best advantages from this kind of agreements. \nUnder these terms, agricultural industries are \nsensible to FTA´s. They, then, need to bet prepared \nand strengthen schemes such as Agricultural \nIndustry Districts, as a factor that can foster this \nsegment by the use of scale economies.
