Micro-level Studies and Policy Analysis: Experiences from Tonga and South Kalimantan
Year: 1993
Type: article
Abstract: Policy-oriented studies at the household and village level are undertaken by researchers from a range of disciplines. In this paper, we focus on two such studies, one conducted in Tonga by agricultural economists, the other in Indonesia by a geographer. While there are differences in disciplinary approach, some fundamental requirements emerge for the successful integration of micro-level research into the policy making process.
