Abstract: This article is the result of a theoretical description which intends to raise a discussion and a reflection upon the psychological sicence field, focusing the clinical area. Due to the broad size of the subject, the existent material about scientific research on clinical psychology has been contracted and framed. Initially, there has been highlighted a brief historical description, and the relation between research and university, eventually approaching clinical psychology.
