Abstract: This work analyses the architectural restoration of five bandeirantes' houses in the city of So Paulo. Those restoration works, which took place between the years 1950 and 2000, were accomplished by the IPHAN -Institute for National Artistic and Historical Heritage -and the DPH -Historical Heritage Department of the City Government of So Paulo.
