Abstract: This research offered the opportunity to develop and successfully test a survey concept combining qualitative interviews and person based GPS tracking. The developed survey tools offer unprecedented possibilities to study the decision processes underlying travel habit rearrangements and their associated learning processes.Indeed, person based GPS tracking data delivers factual data about (small) behavioural innovations, which can in return be used for qualitative prompted recall interviews about the ins and outs of participants' learning experiences in everyday mobility.Harms, S.
