The Political Economy of AIDS among Drug Users in the United States
Year: 1996
Type: article
Abstract: It came and went in the blink of an eye and what seemed like a brilliant future for Marxist Anthropology in the mid‐1970s now lies in a grave of dead‐ended approaches bearing the epitaph ‘Political Economy’—the sign which for Marx summed up all that was critically in error in capitalist and capitalizing analysis, hence his sub‐title toCapital, “A Critique of Political Economy.”
