Wolff debe ser visto como un pionero, en Alemania, tanto de la Psicología empírica como de la teoría del conocimiento, disciplina que de igual forma encontrará su reconocimiento y autonomía posteriormente.facultades del alma / memoria / fuerza / representación Christian Wolff and Psychology in the period of German EnlightmentIn this essay I discuss Christian Wolff´s contributions to foster the concept of Psychology as a science proper, and review as well his views on the essence and nature of the human soul.It can be shown that there is a still current close relationship between the idea of the psychological discipline and metaphysics, and theology. However, it should be acknowledged Wolff´s influence on the development of empirical Psychology, as an essential component of the discipline.Hence, Wolff may be viewed as a pioneer of empirical Psychology in Germany and the theory of knowledge which eventually would reach autonomy and professional acknowledgement.faculties of the soul / memory / force / representation
