Year: 1980
Type: article
Abstract: The term "monoclonal antibody" is used here in its biological s e n s e , i.e. immunoglobulin produced by a cell culture derived from an individual hybridoma cell.Accordingly, the term does not necessarily imply a homogeneous molecular species of antibody.'The abbreviations used are: PBS, phosphate-buffered saline; DME, Dulbecco's modified Eagles' medium supplemented as indicated in the text; AMEF, a mutant P-D-galactosidase activatable by specific antibody (1); Ig, immunoglobulin.
