Isolation of C55-Isoprenylpyrophosphate from Micrococcus lysodeikticus
Year: 1972
Type: article
Abstract: C55-Isoprenylpyrophosphate has been isolated from 660 g of cells of Micrococcus lysodeikticus. The cells had been incubated with bacitracin before harvesting in order to induce accumulation of this lipid. The yield was 12 mg (60% of the amount calculated to be present in the starting material). The characterization of this compound is reported.
