Abstract: We present a calculation for single‐inclusive large‐pT pion production in longitudinally polarized pp collisions in next‐to‐leading order QCD. The corresponding double‐spin asymmetry ALLπ for this process will soon be used at BNL‐RHIC to measure Δg.
