Paul Ricoeur et les éthiques procédurales
Year: 2006
Type: article
Abstract: This paper has a twofold objective : first, to give a general idea of the historical development of Ricoeur’s criticism of Rawls’s, Habermas’s, and Apel’s procedural ethics ; next, to propose an assessment of the results of this critical process from the point of view of procedural ethics itself. On this second aspect it is hypothesized that Ricoeur’s teleological argument reveals an internal limitation of proceduralism that might supply the starting point of a reformulation of his conception of social normativity.
