Abstract: Acute and chronic stimulation of GH secretion occurred after administration of MK-677 in normal elderly subjects and IGF-I was increased during four weeks of treatment. The activation of the GH/ IGF-I axis was achieved without adversely affecting ACTH, cortisol or prolactin secretion.
