Abstract: RESUMEN: Las autoras analizan la participación política de las mujeres en Argentina, a través de su quehacer en el Poder Legislativo del período 1983-1991. Señalan que, una vez pasados los primeros años de la transición democrática, la labor legislativa de las mujeres perdió especificidad de género y se desarrolló hacia intereses generales de la ciudadanía. Pero la introducción de la "Ley de cuotas" abrió nuevas alternativas para la articulación de las demandas de género.ABSTRACT: The authors analyse the political participation of women in Argentina, throught their activity in the Legislative Power (1983-1991). They argue that after first years of democratic transition, the legislative activity of the women forgot its genre specificities and developed towards general interests of the citizenship. But the introduction of the "Law of Quotas", they argue, opened news opportunities for the articulation of genre demands.
