Abstract: RESUMEN: Las elecciones de marzo de 1994 marcan un hito en el calendario del proceso de transición a la democracia que vive este país centroamericano. En este artículo se señalan las características más sobresalientes del mismo y se procede a un análisis de los efectos de estos comicios para el sistema político.ABSTRACT: The march '94 elections are a very important event in the salvadorean democratic transition. In this article, the authors show its more important caracteristics and analyze the effect of this elections for the political system.
