Abstract: Current advances in targeted agents for the treatment of ovarian cancer stand on scores of negative clinical studies in tumor types with similar target expression, promising in vitro and in vivo preclinical data, and acceptable safety profiles in their early clinical development. The expanding menu of effective compounds challenges investigators and treating physicians to develop an appropriate rationale for developing novel regimens.
