Electrical circuits on mesoscopic Sierpinski gaskets

Abstract: A deterministic network of impedances on the Sierpinski gasket fractal is considered, with particular regard to low-generation, or mesoscopic, systems. We study the fractal set of the resonances of the circuit and present calculations on frequency-dependent systems. The condition of an intermediate size can lead to an oscillatory scaling of the total impedance that disappears in the asymptotic limit: several examples are given.
