Shared mechanisms for representing the sides of the visual world and the sides of objects: evidence from a localization deficit following parietal brain damage

Year: 2013
Type: article
Abstract: That JKI’s w/in object deficit arises in the RVF, while his general object deficit does not, suggests specialized representations of relative position. The similarity between the deficits suggests shared mechanisms for localization of objects and features w/in them. A systematic localization deficit for whole objects JKI perceives LVF objects to the right of and above their true positions. But he evidences no deficit in the RVF.
