CA 125 and the detection of recurrent ovarian cancer

Abstract: Rising cancer antigen 125 (CA125) levels have been used to detect recurrence of ovarian cancer. A recent study questions the value of this practice, but the clinical trial has significant limitations and discounts the value of early detection to permit treatment of recurrence with novel and conventional agents.
