Contribution à une approche sociologique de la genèse partisane
Year: 2011
Type: article
Abstract: Based on a study of the FN, the MSI and the FIS, this article aims to propose a sociological analysis of the creation of political parties and, from this, to attempt to overcome the bias of classical approaches which rarely deal with this phenomenon in itself and for itself. Leaving the outcome of their creation aside in order to better show the complexity and contingency of this process, we focus on the actors involved in the creation of the parties, their prior interactions in the “pre-party” environment, and their struggles to define legitimate strategies for the way forward. Finally we analyse the work of bringing parties into being.
