Abstract: The authors call attention to a previous work [Lin and He, Phys. Rev. A 80, 042310 (2009)] on the realization of multiqubit logic gates with controlled-path and merging gates. We supplement the work by showing how to efficiently implement quantum algorithms in this approach and by providing guide rules for the task.
