Abstract: The November issue of Psychiatric Annals features a series of clinical reports, much like we used to hear in Grand Rounds in various medical teaching institutions. It seems to me that presenting interesting, and sometimes unusual, cases is an activity that has less emphasis in psychiatry than in the past, with some rare exceptions. Case reports, nonetheless, serve an important function in striving for excellence in the practice of clinical psychiatry.
