Abstract: Tetrahedral DNA nanostructures can be readily taken up by cells. In their Communication on page 7745 ff., C. Fan, Q. Huang, and co-workers investigate the endocytotic internalization into mammalian cells and subsequent transport of these self-assembled DNA nanostructures by single-particle tracking. These results constitute the next step toward the development of novel drug-delivery systems based on nucleic acids.
