Abstract: In this issue of Expert Opinion on Investigational Drugs, several protein kinases families and pathways underlying cancer and other diseases are reviewed and several small molecule inhibitors that are in clinical trials are further described. Highlights of these reviews and drug evaluations are summarized in this editorial.
