The Relation Between the Blanketing Parameter 8m,(O) and [Fe/H] Abundances

Abstract: We have derived a relation between 8m1 fi values of the Str6mgren four-color system and [Fe/H] values taken from the compilation of Morel et al. (1975). The result is [Fe/H] = + 0.15 - 11 8m1 fi . The relation implies a solar 8m1 fi = and a Hyades [Fe/H] of 0.15. Key words: four-color photometry - [Fe/H] abundances
