Abstract: Based on the analysis of the manuscript tradition behind Dusan?s legislation, this prolusion offers arguments in favor of including legal texts copied with Dusan?s Code into a textological examination which aims to reconstruct the history of the Code?s text (the genealogy of its manuscripts) and its original recension. The analysis also includes manuscripts belonging to the so-called incomplete Dusan?s legislation, which contains copies of the accompanying texts without Dusan?s Code itself.
