Abstract: During the last period of the Middle Ages, there was a marked increase in the production of art objects. This quantitative increase was made possible by the two forms of artistic production materialized in the period: the commissioned work by renowned artists and standardized production. Both coordinates put us in some aspects to consider in valuing the work of late medieval art as the concept of authorship and the originality and / or copy one.
