Breaking van der Waals Molecules with Magnetic Fields

Abstract: It is demonstrated that weakly bound van der Waals complexes can dissociate in a magnetic field through coupling between the Zeeman levels. The Zeeman predissociation process is shown to be efficient and it can be controlled by external magnetic fields.
