Introduction to the Special Issue on Information Theory in Molecular Biology and Neuroscience
Year: 2010
Type: editorial
Abstract: Information theory--a field at the intersection of applied mathematics and electrical engineering--was primarily developed for the purpose of addressing problems arising in data storage and data transmission over (noisy) communication media.
