Abstract: Archival recovery, especially of memory threatened by dictatorshipsor totalitarian regimes, is always a pressing task. The recovery of theEdgar Leuenroth archive at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas, considered the most valuable set of documents on the workers’ movementduring its unionization phase, involved many intellectuals andinstitutions. To accompany the reasoning and life-paths of thosewho realized the sheer importance of this archive and endeavored topreserve it is a worthwhile pursuit.
