Abstract: Heart valve surgery was performed in II4 patients over the age of 6o at the National Heart Hospital between November I964 and November 1970.This included 73 aortic, 22 mitral, and I0 multiple valve replacements, 2 mitral valve repairs, and 7 closed mitral valvotomies.
