Abstract: Maiolino in 2003 proposed criteria for Engraftment Syndrome (ES). Criteria included non infectious fever plus one (or more) of the following: rash, pulmonary infiltrates, or diarrhea. Clinical practice has since shifted. In the Maiolino series all patients were mobilized with cyclophosphamide (CTX) and G-CSF, while current options include G-CSF, G-CSF plus plerixafor, or CTX with G-CSF. Patients were also treated with G-CSF in the early transplant period. We felt it appropriate to assess our experience with ES in modern patients with multiple myeloma.
