Abstract: Various approaches have contributed to the development of “work clinics”: the clinical approach to activity, clinical social psychology, work psychodynamics, sociopsychoanalysis, sociology, and others. These fields have common foundations, but also differences, which can be used to elucidate this central question regarding “work clinics”: what are the resources for action in the workplace? This paper focuses on two issues: the various conceptions of the clinical approach according to their objects, methods, and aims, as well as the conceptions of work as an environment for the performance of a task or for action and confrontation with the real.
