Abstract: The spread of obesity (globesity) has been declared a worldwide epidemic by the World Health Organization (WHO).More than 1 billion adults are overweight and at least 315 million are clinically obese.This epidemic has generated an unlimited array of weight-loss strategies.Obesity is now one of the most important public and clinical problems: "it increases the risk of many health complications such as hypertension, coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes, needs long-lasting treatment for effective results and involves high public and private costs " (p.204, (Castelnuovo et al., 2010)).
